Artisan Properties was formed in 1995 to develop and manage self storage real estate. Our first storage development was completed in 1996 in Columbus, GA and is still managed by Artisan Properties today.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s Artisan Properties expanded to Macon, Cumming, and LaGrange, GA. In 2003, we began expansion into Atlanta, GA where we developed the first facility under the Storage Xxtra banner.
Artisan Properties has gone on the develop or acquire 26 storage and office facilities totaling 2,149,782 square feet. Today, Artisan Properties has 1.23 million square feet of storage and commercial office space under management.
